SIC Policies

Built on transparency. Grounded in integrity. Our policies reflect the same values we ask our members to uphold.

Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information

We collect only what we need to serve you, we never sell your data, and you always have the right to access and delete your information.

Information We Collect

SIC collects information in two main ways: information you provide directly to us, and information collected automatically when you use our platform.

  • Account information: Name, email address, membership tier, and profile information you provide during registration or account setup.
  • Communication data: Messages you send us via contact forms, SAGE interactions (anonymized and aggregated), and email correspondence.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and time spent on the platform — used to improve your experience.
  • Payment information: Processed securely through our payment processor (Stripe). SIC does not store full payment card numbers.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve SIC services, programs, and community features
  • Communicate with you about your membership, updates, and relevant content
  • Personalize your experience within the SIC platform
  • Process payments and manage membership accounts
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect the integrity of our community

Information Sharing

SIC does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help operate our platform (e.g., payment processors, email providers) — under strict data processing agreements
  • Legal authorities when required by law or to protect the safety of our community
  • Other members, only to the extent you've made information visible in your profile or through community features

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at admin@socialintegrity.community. We will respond within 30 days.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 90 days, unless retention is required for legal compliance.

Cookies

SIC uses cookies to remember your preferences and improve site functionality. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit certain features.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify members of material changes via email and update the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of SIC after policy changes constitutes acceptance.

Terms of Use

Your rights and responsibilities as an SIC member

Use SIC in good faith, respect other members and our community standards, and understand that membership is a privilege tied to upholding our values.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SIC — including our website, platform, events, and community spaces — you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Eligibility

SIC membership and platform access is available to individuals 18 years of age or older. By registering, you represent that you meet this eligibility requirement.

Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify SIC immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at admin@socialintegrity.community.

Permitted Use

SIC is provided for lawful, personal, and professional development purposes consistent with our mission. You may:

  • Access content, programs, and community spaces appropriate to your membership tier
  • Engage with other members in good faith and in accordance with our Code of Conduct
  • Share SIC resources with proper attribution, within the scope of your membership

Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Use SIC for commercial solicitation, spam, or unauthorized advertising
  • Reproduce, sell, or redistribute SIC proprietary content without written permission
  • Harass, impersonate, or harm other members or SIC staff
  • Attempt to circumvent any security measures or access unauthorized areas
  • Use SIC in any manner inconsistent with its mission of integrity-led growth

Intellectual Property

All SIC content — including curriculum, frameworks, branding, and original materials — is the property of the Social Integrity Community. Members receive a limited, non-transferable license to access content for personal use.

Limitation of Liability

SIC is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, SIC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform or services.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, then binding arbitration if necessary.

Termination

SIC reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Code of Conduct, at our sole discretion. Members may discontinue future donations at any time by contacting hello@socialintegrity.community. All prior donations remain nonrefundable.

Code of Conduct

How we treat each other — "I'm You, You're Me" in practice

"I'm You, You're Me." This Code is an expression of that philosophy in practice.

The SIC community is only as strong as the integrity of its members. This Code of Conduct is not a list of rules handed down from above — it is a set of commitments we make together, to each other, as members of the same community.

Our Core Commitments

Respect in Every Interaction

Treat every member with dignity — in community spaces, events, and all SIC-related communications.

Radical Honesty

Communicate truthfully and with care. We don't manipulate, gaslight, or mislead members or staff.

Protect the Space

What is shared in SIC community spaces is shared in trust. We respect confidentiality where it's established.

Own Your Impact

If you cause harm — intentionally or not — you take responsibility, apologize, and work to repair it.

Honor Diversity

We actively welcome and respect diverse backgrounds, identities, perspectives, and lived experiences.

Support Each Other's Growth

We celebrate wins, offer honest feedback, and hold space for each other through challenges.

What Is Not Acceptable

  • Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any form — including online
  • Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or any protected characteristic
  • Sharing another member's private information without their consent
  • Bad-faith engagement: trolling, manipulation, or deliberate disruption
  • Using SIC spaces to exploit or take advantage of other members
  • Any behavior that undermines trust, psychological safety, or the integrity of the community

Reporting & Response

If you witness or experience a Code of Conduct violation, you can report it confidentially at admin@socialintegrity.community or through the platform's reporting feature. All reports are taken seriously and handled with care, confidentiality, and fairness.

Consequences

Violations may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from SIC — depending on severity and pattern. Our goal is always restoration when possible, and protection of the community when necessary.

We believe in the humanity of every member. The Code of Conduct exists not to punish, but to protect the community we're all building together.

Membership & Donation Policy

All memberships are donations — nonrefundable and mission-driven

All memberships are donations. Every contribution — regardless of tier or amount — is a tax-deductible donation made to support the Social Integrity Community, its website, app, and organizational mission. All donations are nonrefundable.

Donation-Based Membership

SIC operates on a donation-based membership model. By completing a membership contribution, you acknowledge that:

  • Your contribution is a voluntary donation to the Social Integrity Community.
  • All donations are nonrefundable, regardless of tier, amount, or billing frequency.
  • Donations go directly toward the upkeep of the SIC website, app, and organization — including platform infrastructure, programming, and community operations.
  • Membership access and benefits are extended as a courtesy in recognition of your donation — not as a commercial product or service.

No Refunds

All donations made to the Social Integrity Community are final and nonrefundable. This applies to:

  • Initial onboarding donation ($99, one-time and nonrefundable)
  • Foundation Tier annual renewal contributions ($49/year)
  • Advocate Tier recurring contributions ($19/month)
  • Sovereign Tier recurring contributions ($49/month, or $149/year at the Founding Member rate)
  • EasyDonations one-time or recurring contributions ($25 – $500)
  • Institutional membership donations
  • Any other voluntary contribution made to SIC

In the event of a billing error or duplicate charge, please contact hello@socialintegrity.community within 14 days and we will investigate promptly.

Tax Deductibility

SIC contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Members are encouraged to consult a qualified tax professional regarding the deductibility of their donations. Upon request, SIC will provide a donation acknowledgment letter for your records.

Membership Access

Upon completing your initial donation, you will receive access to SIC platform benefits corresponding to your membership tier. Access continues for the duration of the membership period associated with your contribution. SIC reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any benefit at its discretion, consistent with our mission.

Founding Member Contributions

The Founding Member donation rate is a recurring annual contribution, not a one-time payment and not a perpetual entitlement. The rate is honored for as long as the annual membership remains active and is renewed each year. If a membership lapses and is later restarted, the contribution amount in effect at the time of reactivation will apply.

Tier Changes

Members may increase their donation tier at any time. The difference in contribution amount will be processed as an additional donation. Downward tier adjustments take effect at the start of the next membership period. All contributions are nonrefundable.
