20th Annual Software Industry Awards

As part of our effort to make this year's Software Industry Conference even better and more valuable to all attendees, we are re-structuring the awards process. This year's Software Industry Awards will be decided in a manner similar to the early days of the conference.

A group of approximately 20 software industry insiders were selected to participate in the nomination and voting process. This group was selected because of their intimate knowledge of the MicroISV industry and its products and services. The group members will remain anonymous, as we do not want them "lobbied" by any particular company or person who might wish to win an award.

The Software Industry Awards nomination packets are sent out in mid-April, with the nominations due back by April 30. Each category is allowed three nominations by the nominator, listed in order of preference. The nominations submitted will be narrowed to a list of three per category. Ballots will be sent to the nomination/voting group. The SIAF will total the votes of the returned ballots to arrive at the award winners.

In a further departure from previous years, the nominators are asked to consider only software and services offered by MicroISVs. This decision was made because MicroISVs are the focus of the Software Industry Conference, and the Software Industry Awards were originally created to recognize small companies and individuals that were producing quality software. One other change is that winners from the previous year will not be eligible for an award during the current year.

The winners will remain confidential until the Software Industry Conference Gala Networking and Awards Dinner on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dallas, Texas. The winners of the awards will be announced at the Gala Networking & Awards Dinner, and handed out to any winners present. This is the capstone of the conference, please join us to celebrate the 20th Annual Software Industry Conference & Awards.
